European Commission Announced Its Long-Term Vision for Rural Areas!
The European Commission recently released a long-term vision to identify the challenges and concerns faced by rural residents of the region and highlight some of the most promising opportunities for these regions. The Rural Pact and the EU Rural Action Plan have two basic components of achieving the goals set by the "Long-Term Rural Area Vision", which aims to move towards, better connected, strong, and prosperous rural areas by 2040.
According to the action plan, the highlighted topics for the main challenges are; the aging rural population and lack of connectivity, underdeveloped infrastructure, limited employment opportunities, and limited access to services.
