Focus

The Alliance has three areas of focus: industry issues, data exchange and political

regulations or serving as a conduit to the industry.

October 11, 2012 Alliance Steering Committee Meeting

The Agrievolution Alliance Steering Committee held its first face-to-face meeting on October 11, 2012 in Moscow. Rosagromash hosted the meeting, which was held in conjunction with the AgroSalon agricultural machinery expo. The new group effected organizational and governance developments, explored potential initiatives and began work on the 2013 Agrievolution Forum. Highlights of the meeting include:

• Establishment of an Industry Issues Committee to determine initiatives to be undertaken by the Alliance. Current proposals include support of the Agricultural Industry electronics Foundation (AEF) and ROPs; white papers on Sustainability, Global Food Security; endorsement of select global agricultural trade shows.
• Secretariat presentation of the new Agrievolution Alliance shared data site and website (www.agrievolution.com)
• Economic Committee report featuring data on all global regions represented by the Alliance
• Presentation of the proposed 2013 Agrievolution Forum program by host FICCI. The Forum will be held December 5 & 6 in conjunction with EIMA AgriMach India.
• Establishment of a Forum Committee for further content development and coordination

December, 2013 Agrievolution Forum

The next Agrievolution Forum will be hosted by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) December 5 & 6, 2013 at the Hotel Taj Mahal, New Delhi, India. Proposed themes are Global Food Security and the State of the Global Agriculture Machinery Industry. The Forum will be held in conjunction with agricultural machinery exhibition EIMA AgriMach India.

Agrievolution Forums serve as a global industry platform, impart valuable data and facilitate communications among agricultural leaders. Top growers, agribusiness executives, government officials, media and academia from around the world are invited to share in the timely regional data, open dialogue and vital global connections. Agrievolution Forums were held in Rome in 2008, Orlando in 2010 and Paris in 2011. The Alliance will continue to host Forums roughly every 18 months in conjunction with industry events around the world, providing a consistent point of contact and information exchange for global agricultural stakeholders.
